gratuitous saturday && christmas cheer!

“I think it’s healthy to hate. I think it’s extremely healthy, because without hate, you cannot see love. Without red, there wouldn’t be any green. That’s not a very good metaphor but, you know, it’s the same.”

I came across the above quote today - it couldn't have appeared at a better time, and I couldn't agree with it more! A little something in that for everyone I think...

But gosh what a week! Working late shifts/two jobs, super sore mouth, crazy bishes being crazy, nothing but liquid foods - but as of today everything has seemed to calm down. Today was bliss - although I was a little grumpy I was lucky enough to be cuddled and taken care of in bed for the entire day. I'm a sook; so easily won over with kind words, a snuggle and a smoothie (take note! I will be putty in anyone's hands)- I needed to make a little note about how loved I feel right now. I have a very special boyfriend, and the most kick ass friends anyone could possibly be blessed with. I'm a very lucky girl.

On a brighter less mushy note: Christmas!! It's just around the corner; I realised this today after hearing that the Credit Union Christmas Pageant was partying down North Tce (while I was nicely tucked up in bed). Ok, that is a lie - I've been blasting Justin Bieber's Christmas album for the past week - but hearing the pageant was today did hit hard that Christmas is so close!

Speaking Justin Bieber's Christmas album: I'm not impressed.

....I know what you're thinking... I didn't think those words would ever escape from my lips either. Although I generally shove my love for JB down everyone's throats -  this is a a private page where I can sneakily admit that I'm slightly disappointed in my under-age man-child boyfriend of dreams' latest work. Seriously JB, what the ****? The 'juxtaposition' (lol) of traditional 'Little Drummer Boy' followed by a not so cohesive rap segment where you compare yourself to Michael Jackson - puhlease. Embazza to the max!!

Leave it to the professionals next time bab - stick with singing songs about how you'll fix all the sad loney girls hearts with a kiss - that pleases me.

David Bowie and Bing Crosby - Little Drummer Boy = perfection!

I'm off to visit some gorgeous friends to share a delicious mango -before heading off to work this evening! My mother is the absolute cutest - She called me today almost crying with joy: She had found the perfect mango, first of the season. I thought she was kidding  but when she gave it to me my mind blew!

IT'S HUGE! and looks so sweet!

Have the best night! I know I will: giant mango and x4 giant V's thanks to the MW3 launch!

Finger's crossed for big tips!

Bisous xxxx
